Talk about a visionary. Coming off the success of a traditional chinese food restaurant, called Panda Inn that Andrew Cherng founded with his father, Andrew saw that there was a market for high quality chinese fast food just like there are for burger joints.

So in 1983, when Andrew opened up a new concept style fast food version of Panda at the Glendale Galleria mall in Glendale, California. That first one was a smashing success and the Panda brand started to grow.

In 1991, after numerous locations were opened up at malls and grocery stores, they opened up their first street location in Long Beach, California. In 1993 they celebrated the opening of their 100th store.

In 2011, they now own and operate over 1,510 locations across the USA and opened up their first store internationally in Mexico.

The food there is quite tasty and extremely popular. If you’ve ever visited a Panda restaurant, you’ll instantly see how popular they are and they really don’t have any competitors that pose a threat to their business model.

Jobs at Panda are just like jobs at any other fast food place where you’ll learn to work effectively like a team. What makes the jobs there attractive is their commitment to their employees that include a 401k matching plan. See more on Panda job benefits
